Michigan, my birthplace the Motor City Capital of the world. Home
of Motown, the 60's were all about music to me, I would later find out
the profound affect that it would have on my life. Marvin Gaye,
Temptations, Supremes, Little Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Aretha
Franklin I remember we could hear Aretha singing in her father's church
from our kitchen window.
My father got a job working for General Motors in Saginaw, MI in 1963.
I will never forget that year, as I also will never forget my first DJ
job. It was my 10-year class reunion, the Buena Vista High School Class
of 1970.
From 1980 to the present I have been blessed to entertain at Jr. High
and High School dances, class reunions, homecomings, proms, college ice
breakers, wedding receptions, family reunions and political events.
I pumped up the volume of every popular nightclub along the I-75
corridor and entertained in Toronto, Canada for several years.
In 1983, owned and operated Chateau L, Elegance Restaurant Lounge where
Blues artist such as KoKo Taylor and Willie Clayton, Philly Sound Artist
Billy Paul and Balladeer Arthur Prysock performed. Executive Director of
Saginaw Parades Inc., where from 1983 until 2002 Organized the Saginaw
County Memorial Day Parade. Radio Personality with Power 107.1 WTLZ ,
Positive Power with Sir Charles R&B & Talk Show format.
In 1998, I had the pleasure to interview Venus and Serena Williams.
In 1996, I got involved with F.I.R.S.T, For Inspiration and Recognition
of Science and Technology and was a founding member of the Buena Vista
High School Knights Robotics Team 49.
In 2000, I was elected to the Buena Vista School District, Board of
Education where I served until 2002. Father of three and grandfather of
seven, " My Future My Legacy. "My Love for Music and Love for
People and the belief that making a difference starts with you. It
was the Grace of God and the Living Spirit of my late Sister Renee
Delores Peterson that led me to Atlanta, "And The Beat Goes On.
